NuShield® is a sterile, dehydrated placental allograft that preserves all native layers of the placental membrane—including the amnion, chorion, and the intermediate (spongy) layer—through a proprietary preservation method called LayerLoc™. This process maintains a rich extracellular matrix, growth factors, and cytokines to support a healing environment while providing barrier protection for wound sites.

Analytical studies demonstrate that NuShield retains significantly higher concentrations of essential growth factors and cytokines compared to other dehydrated amnion/chorion membrane products. It also contains over six times more hyaluronic acid and offers enhanced thickness from preserving the spongy layer—factors that improve handling and scaffold performance.

Available in a 6 × 6 cm size (Model NO‑1660), NuShield is adaptable for both acute and chronic wound care across multiple clinical specialties.
