Covidien 33136RT36 Kendall DL Disposable Lead Set 3' BX/10

• Model: 33136RT36

The Kendall DL Disposable Lead Set 33136RT36 is a radiolucent 5‑lead ECG cable/lead wire system designed for single‑patient use. Radiolucent means it is optimized to produce minimal interference on imaging (e.g. fluoroscopy, X‑ray) — an important feature during catheterization, stress tests, or interventional procedures requiring simultaneous ECG monitoring and imaging. Because it’s disposable and patient‑dedicated, it helps reduce cross‑contamination risk between patients compared to reusable lead sets.

One major usability advantage is the dual-connect architecture: the same cable set can interface both bedside monitors and telemetry units without needing to swap lead sets. This streamlines the workflow when patients move between units (e.g. ICU to telemetry ward). The push-button locking mechanism for electrode connection reduces the chance of loose or “leads-off” alarms, improving signal stability. The shielded cable design helps minimize interference from other electronic equipment or ambient electrical noise, improving ECG signal quality in electrically “noisy” clinical environments.

In the clinical setting, the lead set is used during continuous ECG monitoring in hospitals — during routine telemetry, in operating rooms, in interventional labs, or other areas where ECG and imaging may be concurrent. Technicians place the electrodes on the patient’s chest / limbs, connect the leads with a push-button snap, and hook the cable to the monitor or telemetry transmitter. Because these are intended for single-patient use, after the patient is discharged or monitoring ends, they are discarded — eliminating cleaning, sterilization, or electrode wear concerns. The radiolucent design is particularly beneficial during imaging‑guided procedures where visibility through the chest field is needed.
