The Covidien SE3690 RapidVac™ Smoke Evacuator is a high-performance device designed to capture and filter surgical smoke during electrosurgical and laser procedures. Surgical smoke, which contains harmful chemicals and particulates, can pose health risks to surgical staff and patients. The RapidVac™ system effectively removes these hazards, ensuring a safer operating environment.

Equipped with a four-stage ULPA filter (model SEA3700), the RapidVac™ offers 99.9995% filtration efficiency at 0.1 microns. This advanced filtration system captures particulates, microorganisms, and toxic gases generated during surgical procedures. The filter's design includes a prefilter, ULPA filter, activated carbon layer for odor and gas adsorption, and a final filter stage to ensure comprehensive smoke removal.

The device's compact design (14" W × 8" H × 18.75" D) and lightweight build (20 lbs) make it suitable for integration into various surgical settings. Its noise level does not exceed 57 dB in turbo mode, minimizing auditory distractions in the operating room. The RapidVac™ is compatible with Medtronic electrosurgical generators, allowing for synchronized operation. Additionally, it supports footswitch activation (sold separately), providing hands-free control for surgical teams.

These surgical instruments have been previously used and show visible signs of wear consistent with their prior usage. Despite these signs, they remain in a usable condition, suitable for continued medical procedures.
