Ethicon Vicryl EJ10G Suture - 45cm, Violet Braided Polyglactin 910 (Box of 12)
Ethicon | Coated Vicryl Endoloop Ligature | Synthetic Absorbable | EJ10G | Laparoscopic Pedicle Tie
The Ethicon EJ10G is a specialized, sterile, synthetic absorbable laparoscopic ligation device manufactured using a copolymer of 90 percent glycolide and 10 percent L-lactide (polyglactin 910). Operating as part of the specialized Endoloop product line, this instrument is engineered explicitly for minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries. It provides a reliable method for ligating tissue pedicles, prominent vascular structures, and the bases of cystic or excised organs without requiring intracorporeal knot-tying.
The system features an 18-inch (45 cm) violet-dyed braided Coated Vicryl strand pre-formed into a slip-knot ligature loop and housed inside a rigid delivery tube. The distal end of the tube holds the pre-tied loop, while the proximal handle end is scored and fastened to the tail of the suture thread. To deploy, a clinician guides the loop over the target tissue using a laparoscopic grasper, snaps the scored plastic handle, and pulls it upward. This mechanical tracking action draws the pre-formed knot down the tube, tightly closing the loop around the pedicle and establishing a secure, compressed ligature.
