Ethicon Vicryl J337H Suture 4-0, Violet Braided Polyglactin 910 (Box of 36)
Ethicon | Coated Vicryl Suture | Synthetic Absorbable | J337H | Taper Point CT-1
The Ethicon J337H is a medical-grade, sterile, synthetic absorbable surgical suture manufactured from a copolymer of 90 percent glycolide and 10 percent L-lactide (polyglactin 910). As an essential component of Ethicon's primary Coated Vicryl portfolio, this braided wound-closure strand provides predictable, high-tensile structural support during early tissue healing stages. It breaks down gradually via chemical hydrolysis, minimizing surrounding tissue reaction and leaving a clean wound tract once fully absorbed.
This configuration provides a violet-dyed braided thread featuring a fine 4-0 gauge thickness profile, engineered to balance precise handling with a dependable absorbable structural hold. It comes pre-swaged to a large-format 36 mm CT-1 style taper point needle. This needle is optimized for smooth, non-cutting passage through deeper subcutaneous tissues, general muscle layers, and general soft tissue adaptations where minimizing bleeding along the needle track is a vital clinical objective.
