• The Boston Scientific Zero Tip™ Nitinol Stone Retrieval Basket (UPN M0063901030) is designed for efficient and atraumatic extraction of larger urinary stones. This tipless basket, constructed from superelastic nitinol, minimizes the risk of tissue injury by eliminating a sharp distal tip and offering a flat distal surface for atraumatic manipulation. A knotted basket ≤tip serves to stabilize the capture wires and prevent unwanted wire movement during retraction. The basket deploys through a 3.0 F sheath and expands to a 16 mm diameter cavity—ideal for securing larger calculi—while the 120 cm working length provides generous reach for ureteroscopic procedures.

• Boston Scientific incorporates a composite multi-layer sheath (typically polyimide/PTFE) that delivers high strength, smooth scope passage, and optimal flexibility, preserving irrigation flow even in constrained 3.6 F working channels. In bench testing, narrower sheaths (e.g. 1.9 F) allowed significantly higher irrigation flow rates compared to wider sheaths, enhancing visibility during endoscopic procedures. The Zero Tip™ system supports reliable stone capture in challenging anatomy and is available in multiple sheath sizes—this variant, at 3.0 F × 120 cm with approximately 16 mm basket diameter, is tailored to retrieve larger stone fragments while maintaining irrigation and maneuverability.
