DOUGLAS BECK
CEO

After receiving a technology degree, business school and many years working in the Operating Room Douglas quickly moved from sales to Director of Operations. He decided to take his skills over into Humanitarian work and built one of the largest medical humanitarian programs in North America responsible for handling over $100M in resources. He has continued this work currently sitting as President of the Board for Project Perfect World a surgical mission charity. Helping to establish Orthopedic, Spine and DDH program services at the Roberto Gilbert Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Douglas has been aware of the $10B inventory waste problem in the US healthcare system feeling that eventually technology could be built to solve this massive global problem. An introduction to Jacob by faculty at the prestigious Babson College-Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Business program Douglas had attended led to the development of TAP. Using Doug’s vast industry knowledge and Jacob’s experience solving large scale data and reverse supply chain issues the solution was born.

Doug is supported by his wife Tanyia and their daughter Scarlett. They enjoy living and experiencing outdoors in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains biking and hiking with their 2 dogs. In his spare time Doug has been studying the martial arts Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kick Boxing for 20 years.

JACOB BUHLER
CTO

Received Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Software Engineering at Weber State and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Technology Commercialization (MBATC) from Westminster College.

Jacob has been solving technology problems for over twenty-five years. Has worked as an IT Director for over twelve years at Utah Food Bank where he did Network administration, programming, project management, employee management, and support, and client support for a statewide food bank with total assets over $27.8 M. Created systems that allow the food bank to fulfill their mission.

Jacob is passionate about the opportunity that the asset portal has to change the medical equipment industry. Believes the processes that are put in place will change how people buy and sell medical equipment

Jacob and his wife Stacy have six beautiful children and a fantastic daughter and son-in-law. They love to go on vacations and spend time together.

Hobbies are sports and reading. Huge Utah Jazz fan, favorite players are John Stockton, Karl Malone, Donavan Mitchell, and Damion Lillard. Loves to coach kids in everything, wrestling, softball, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Believes joining sports teams teaches great lessons about life and business. When not coaching, enjoys reading. Believes the more you read the more you can relate to people and enjoy life.
