The Amsino 7‑inch Microbore IV Extension Set is designed to provide a low‑volume, compact connection between a primary IV line and ancillary devices (e.g. IV pumps, syringes, or catheters) while minimizing the extra fluid “dead space” added to the system. The microbore tubing ensures that the priming volume (i.e. the fluid needed to fill it before flow) remains minimal, which is advantageous especially in pediatric or low‑flow infusions. Its relatively short 7″ length strikes a balance between flexibility and minimal additional circuit length.

One of its attractive safety and usability features is the PosiSite needleless injection Y‑site, which permits medication or flush access without the use of needles, helping reduce needlestick risk and maintaining a closed system.
