The Applied Medical CFF03 Kii Fios First-Entry Access System (5 × 100 mm) is purpose-built to deliver ultra-precise, low-impact laparoscopic entry. Its true non-bladed separator tip allows surgeons to gently split tissue along natural fiber lines, resulting in a smaller fascial defect and better re-approximation upon removal. With only ~3 mm of peritoneal penetration required to initiate insufflation, clinicians can achieve a fast, controlled entry under direct visualization, reducing risk and improving surgical confidence.
Engineered for stability, the system’s Advanced Fixation Sleeve features a non-latex balloon and a retention disk that secure the trocar within the abdominal wall. This design helps resist forward migration, even through long operations or repeated instrument exchanges, while also providing a tamponade effect to minimize port-site bleeding. When it’s time to remove or exchange instruments, the system’s simple seal detachment and deep-funnel sleeve architecture facilitate rapid desufflation and smooth transitions.
Surgeons and surgical teams benefit from a reliable first-entry system that balances safety, efficiency, and patient comfort. The CFF03 is provided in a box of six, supporting inventory flexibility and consistency across cases. Its combination of minimal penetration, secure fixation, and atraumatic access makes it ideal for standard and advanced laparoscopic procedures — helping deliver superior patient outcomes and streamlined workflow.
