The 2260‑05SM is a single-use DLC (Disposable Lens Cuff) Single Shroud, designed specifically to be used with a MAXAIR CAPR Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) Helmet and compatible NIOSH-approved filter cartridges. It’s engineered for aerosol and droplet filtration in healthcare, pharmaceutical, bioresearch, and industrial environments where respiratory and fluid protection are essential. This Small–Medium size is intended for users with smaller head sizes—an ML version is recommended for medium to large sizes.
Constructed with a clear PETG lens for optical clarity, a polyurethane cuff for comfort and seal integrity, and a polypropylene body for lightweight yet durable protection, all components are latex-free. The shroud provides full-face coverage without needing separate face shields or bouffants. When worn with an XP filter system and filter cover cap, it offers a high Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of up to 1,000, achieving ≥ 99.99% filtration efficiency.
To don, remove the shroud from packaging (ensuring it’s undamaged), orient the lens/cuff assembly properly, rotate the TurnClip into horizontal alignment, and snap the cuff and shroud mounting hole onto the helmet helmet’s mount point. Secure side and rear snaps, then pull the shroud fully down and tie the neck straps underneath an outer gown, leaving a small gap per gown manufacturer instructions. Disassembly is the reverse process; dispose of the used shroud as regulated biohazard waste in accordance with local protocols. The product is NIOSH-approved, not suitable for IDLH atmospheres or oxygen-deficient/excessive oxygen environments, and should be handled within specified temperature and humidity limits.
