The Boston Scientific M001468540 is a V‑18 ControlWire™ guidewire, engineered with a 0.018″ (0.46 mm) diameter and a length of 300 cm, ideal for navigating peripheral vascular anatomy. It includes a straight, shapeable distal tip and a short taper (8 cm radiopaque tip), providing the clinician with excellent tactile feedback and precise tip control when steering through stenosed or tortuous vessels.
The guidewire features a Scitanium™ stainless-steel core and a 35 cm polymer sleeve that transitions to the radiopaque tip, allowing for excellent pushability and support for catheter or device delivery. Its ICE™ Hydrophilic Coating ensures high lubricity and smooth tracking within vessels, reducing friction and vessel trauma during intravascular procedures.
Designed for peripheral use, the M001468540 guidewire is commonly employed in interventional cardiology, vascular interventions, electrophysiology, urology, and other specialties. It offers a successful balance of distal flexibility and proximal support—helping operators negotiate tight lesions while maintaining control and visibility via its highly radiopaque tip.
