• The EL‑21‑L Surgitie is a pre‑formed ligating loop assembly designed to streamline endoscopic ligation in minimally invasive surgery. Rather than requiring knot tying through a port, the device includes a suture loop already threaded through a carrier, with a self‑securing sliding knot. This configuration allows the surgeon to position the loop around a vessel or tissue pedicle and then tighten it until the knot locks, simplifying ligation under the constraints of limited access or working space. The use of a carrier helps guide and protect the suture during insertion, ensuring smooth deployment.
• One of its key design features is the nylon carrier (≈3.9 mm O.D.) through which the Polysorb™ absorbable suture is threaded.
