This medical supply or implant item is securely packaged within its original manufacturer's packaging, which remains undamaged. The inner and outer packaging is intact, ensuring the product's integrity and suitability for medical use.

The CF‑5460 Flex‑Neck ARC™ catheter from Merit Medical is designed specifically for adult patients requiring chronic peritoneal dialysis. Featuring a coiled silicone tip measuring approximately 15.5 cm in total length (with a ~6 cm coil), it facilitates uniform distribution of dialysate and helps prevent migration of the catheter tip over time. The flexible coiled design—paired with 3.5 mm internal diameter tubing—offers up to 30% higher flow rates compared to catheters with smaller diameters, promoting faster and more efficient fluid exchange.

This model features two subcutaneous cuffs, one positioned in the deep preperitoneal tissue and one just under the skin. This dual-cuff configuration provides improved anchoring of the catheter, reducing the risk of exit‑site infection and pericatheter leaks. The ARC (arcuate) neck shape offers a curved trajectory ideal for lower-abdominal placement, supporting a wider range of tunneling and exit-site techniques suited for different patient anatomies.

Constructed from biocompatible, kink-resistant silicone, the CF‑5460 balances flexibility with durability, minimizing patient discomfort while ensuring long-term performance. The catheter set includes a plastic connector, cap, and implant placement stencil specific to the ARC style to help guide accurate surgical implantation. Typically provided as a sterile, single-use device, this catheter is intended for use under aseptic techniques during surgical, laparoscopic, or peritoneoscopic placement procedures.
