This medical equipment item has undergone a meticulous refurbishment process to ensure it meets the original manufacturer's specifications for operation. While previously used, it has been restored to excellent condition.
The Olympus WM‑WP1 mobile workstation is designed to serve as a reliable, flexible platform for endoscopic video systems in clinical or surgical environments. Its “wide” form factor gives extra shelf real estate to host processors, light sources, printers, and other accessory modules in a tidy, vertically integrated arrangement. Because many endoscopy systems require multiple modular devices, the WM‑WP1’s load ratings and shelf layout are chosen to balance capacity with compactness; for example, the top tray supports up to 20 kg, and intermediate shelves can each take 31 kg. The base panel also supports significant equipment loads, so long as the distribution is even.
One of the key ergonomic features is the articulating monitor arm, which allows the display to be positioned and angled optimally relative to the surgeon or operator, minimizing neck strain or awkward viewing angles during procedures. The cart also supports a dual scope hanger, which lets two endoscopes rest when not in use; this scope-holder section is adjustable and removable for cleaning. Moreover, the workstation offers cable management (side cable restraint strips, rear cable tie points), umbilical cord holders, and bumper guards to protect both the equipment and surrounding environment.
From a functional standpoint, the cart centralizes power management with a separation transformer and a master on/off switch, enabling all connected devices to power up simultaneously—a convenience that reduces procedural setup time. Mobility is ensured via 125 mm castors (two with brakes), allowing it to be rolled between rooms. Its design ensures that essential components such as light source lamps are accessible (side access) and that accessories like drawer packs, keyboard trays, and additional mount kits can be modularly added. Over its operational life, it is meant to support evolving requirements and equipment upgrades in an endoscopy suite with stability and convenience.
