• The RAD‑21 Sapphire is a rotating‑anode X‑ray tube developed by Varian (now under Varex Imaging) built for demanding diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy applications. This 4‑inch (100 mm) insert supports a maximum of 150 kV, with a total heat capacity of 300 kHU, making it suitable for heavy‑duty general radiographic and spot‑film procedures. It features a 12° tungsten‑rhenium‑molybdenum target, available with fine and large focal spots (0.6–1.2 mm) under IEC‑standard operating conditions.
