The Alcon Centurion Vision System (model 215‑0000‑501) is Alcon’s advanced phacoemulsification platform engineered for state-of-the-art cataract surgery. It features Active Fluidics™ technology, which continuously adjusts infusion pressure in real‑time to maintain a stable anterior chamber and surgeon‑selected intraocular pressure (IOP), adapting dynamically to occlusion breaks and fluidic changes during the procedure. This intelligent fluidics control helps reduce surge, improve chamber stability, and enhance surgical safety. The system is fully integrated with Alcon’s Fluidic Management System (FMS) for streamlined irrigation/aspiration performance via a peristaltic pump design.

Included in this configuration is the Centurion OZil Intelligent Phaco (IP) Handpiece, which delivers torsional ultrasound oscillations alongside the INTREPID Balanced Tip. This combination enhances emulsification efficiency, improves followability of lens fragments, minimizes tip movement, and lowers cumulative dissipated energy (CDE), all while reducing thermal stress at the incision site.
