The MAXAIR® Systems Disposable Lens Cuff (DLC), model 2365‑02SM, is a single-use, face-covering component designed for use with MAXAIR Powered Air Purifying Respirator (CAPR) systems. It integrates a clear visor lens and flexible soft cuff into one unit that provides respiratory protection and facial coverage in laboratory, pathology, and medical examiner environments. These disposable lens cuffs are NIOSH-approved when worn with compatible MAXAIR CAPR helmets and effectively shield the wearer from airborne particulates and fluid splashes.
The SM/MED size of this DLC is intended for individuals with small to medium head geometry, offering a snug yet comfortable fit without compromising visibility. Each cardboard dispensing box contains 40 units packaged in a sealed polybag, and the box dimensions (approximately 16″ × 8.75″ × 2.5″) help quickly differentiate SM/MED from the longer ML size container for storage and stacking logistics. The lens material is non-fogging and the cuff design allows rapid snap-on attachment to MAXAIR helmets via alignment and attachment holes designed for ease of donning and doffing by a single user.
Clinically, DLCs serve as the standard face-cover configuration in CAPR setups, balancing protection, visibility, and cost-efficiency. They provide full 360° splash and respiratory protection while preserving comfort and minimizing cross-contamination risks during multiple shifts. Because the lens cuff is disposable and intended for single-patient use, infection control protocols are simplified compared to reusable or disinfectable headgear interfaces.
