The Covidien 173016 Endo Stitch™ Suturing Device (10 mm) is a single-use, endoscopic suturing solution engineered to bring reliable efficiency and precision to minimally invasive surgical procedures. Designed to pass smoothly through a 10 mm trocar sleeve, its 34 cm shaft offers the reach needed for deep operative sites while the ergonomic squeeze handle, toggle levers, and dual unloading buttons give surgeons intuitive, one-handed control for needle transfer and operation.
With built-in tissue adaptability, this Endo Stitch device features 4 mm jaw capacity that can compress soft tissues and accommodate a range of suture materials. Using single-use loading units (SULUs), the integrated needle can be transferred between the two jaws with a simple squeeze-and-toggle motion—enabling both running and interrupted sutures. Surgeons can choose from four suture types—Surgidac™, Polysorb™, Bralon™, or Sofsilk™—and knot using either intracorporeal or extracorporeal techniques, making the device flexible across many laparoscopic scenarios.
By incorporating a single-use, sterile design with an integrated needle and suture, the Endo Stitch 173016 helps reduce OR setup times and improve workflow consistency. Its intuitive controls and reliable needle passage enhance surgeon confidence, while its compatibility with a variety of loading units supports cost management and procedural flexibility. Whether used in general surgery, gynecology, or urology, this device is an invaluable tool for advancing minimally invasive suturing capabilities and optimizing patient outcomes.
