The Kurz 1002251 CLiP Partial Prosthesis is a sterile, single-use ossicular implant designed for use in tympanoplasty procedures to reconstruct the ossicular chain in patients with conductive hearing loss. Crafted from pure titanium (ASTM F67), this prosthesis features a 0.2 mm shaft diameter and a 2.0 mm length, providing a functional length of 1.0 mm. Its spring-loaded CLiP mechanism ensures a standardized and secure coupling to the stapes head, enhancing stability and reducing the risk of dislocation during the healing process. The fenestrated head plate and partially roughened surface contribute to optimal acoustic transmission and biocompatibility. Additionally, the prosthesis is MR conditional up to 7.0 Tesla, making it suitable for patients requiring postoperative imaging.

This prosthesis is part of the KURZ® CLiP Partial Dresden Type series, known for its fine, elegant design and finely balanced weight distribution. The fixed length design eliminates the need for intraoperative adjustments, streamlining the surgical process. Available in lengths ranging from 1.75 mm to 3.50 mm in 0.25 mm increments, the 1002251 model offers a functional length of 1.00 mm, catering to various patient anatomies. The prosthesis's standardized coupling and enhanced safety features have been clinically evaluated, with numerous scientific studies confirming its superior handling and patient outcomes.
