• The Medtronic In.Pact™ 018 is a paclitaxel-coated percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon catheter designed for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the superficial femoral and popliteal arteries. It is indicated for the interventional treatment of de novo, restenotic, and in-stent restenotic lesions with lengths up to 360 mm and vessel diameters ranging from 4.0 mm to 7.0 mm. The catheter is compatible with 0.018-inch guidewires, making it suitable for use in challenging anatomies where smaller guidewires are preferred.

• The balloon catheter features a unique drug coating formulation consisting of paclitaxel and urea, known as the FreePac™ coating. This formulation allows for rapid and efficient delivery of the drug to the vessel wall, aiming to reduce the proliferative response associated with restenosis. The catheter is designed to cross tight lesions and provide better deliverability, addressing the need for effective treatment in complex PAD cases.

• The Medtronic IPU06006013P model has a 130 cm over-the-wire (OTW) catheter length, making it suitable for femoral or radial access. The balloon has a nominal inflation pressure of 8 atm and a rated burst pressure of 10 atm, ensuring reliable performance during procedures. The catheter is supplied sterile and is intended for single-use only, adhering to infection control protocols. Its design and specifications make it a valuable tool for clinicians treating PAD in the specified arterial regions.
