These surgical instruments have been previously used and show visible signs of wear consistent with their prior usage. Despite these signs, they remain in a usable condition, suitable for continued medical procedures.
The OsteoMed M3‑X Extremity Fixation System is a comprehensive fixation platform engineered for small‑bone arthrodesis and reconstruction across the upper and lower extremities. Designed around a modular format, the system includes color‑coded plates available in 1.2 mm, 2.0 mm, and 2.4 mm thicknesses, along with matching solid‑core lag and fully‑threaded screws in sizes ranging from 1.2 mm through 3.0 mm and lengths of 6–36 mm. The instruments are organized to support precise fracture reduction, plate contouring, screw insertion, and plate manipulation, forming a fully contained instrument and implant tray.
Clinically, the M3‑X System is widely used in procedures involving arthrodesis, osteotomy, and reconstructive fixation in small bones of the hand, wrist, foot, and ankle. Its lag screw design eliminates the need to over‑drill the proximal fragment, and its low‑profile screw heads minimize soft tissue irritation—a key advantage in cosmetically sensitive areas and for minimizing hardware prominence under thin soft tissue envelopes. The instrumentation supports accurate placement and controlled compression, facilitating efficient fixation while maintaining anatomical alignment.
The integrated instrument/implant tray simplifies surgical workflow by consolidating the full complement of plates, screws, drills, drivers, and reduction accessories in one organized kit. Color‑coding of each module enhances intraoperative efficiency and inventory tracking, while the ergonomic instrumentation supports fine control in tight anatomical spaces. Together, the M3‑X system offers a self‑contained, flexible solution for extremity trauma and reconstructive indications, reducing set‑up time and ensuring consistent clinical performance.
