The 60A160 Bivona® Uncuffed Adult Tracheostomy Tube is designed for adult patients who do not require mechanical ventilation or a sealed airway. It features a 6.0 mm internal diameter (approx. 8.8 mm outer diameter) and a tube length of 70 mm, with a 100° neck angle suited for standard anatomical placement. The soft silicone construction—enhanced by a gentle, rounded tip—minimizes potential trauma to the tracheal mucosa and stoma site, offering superior flexibility and comfort compared to rigid PVC tubes.

This model is part of the Bivona® Uncuffed family, which promotes patient comfort and ease of use in scenarios like weaning from ventilators, facilitating speech, or managing sensitive airway cases. The kit includes a clip-in hollow-tip obturator, enabling safe tube exchange over a guidewire if needed, along with a 15 mm ISO swivel connector, trach ties, cap plug, and disconnection wedge. The soft neck flange reduces stoma irritation and provides secure placement.

Manufactured to be individually sterile and intended for single-patient use, the Portex Bivona cuffless tube can be reprocessed up to ten times per FDA labeling if reuse is necessary, though single-use remains standard in many facilities. Its silicone material is radiopaque for imaging visibility, and the flexible design—reinforced to resist kinking—ensures consistent airway patency without sacrificing patient mobility or comfort.
