Synthes 207.024 4.0mm Cancellous Bone Screw Partially Threaded 24mm
• Model: 207.024
• 4.0mm
• A small, non-sterile, threaded rod with a slotted head typically used for internal orthopedic fracture fixation by being screwed into bone to hold plates or nails to bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilization of bone, or it may fasten soft tissue to bone; it is made of a material that cannot be chemically degraded or absorbed via natural body processes (includes implant grade metal such as surgical steel, titanium alloy, or carbon fiber).
• Screws available are: cortical, cancellous, malleolar, scaphoid, partially-threaded and fully-threaded, self-tapping, and cannulated.
• A "lag screw" can be any of these used to obtain compression.
• This device must be sterilized before use.
The Synthes 207.024 cancellous bone screw is expertly crafted for fixation in softer, spongy bone such as the metaphyseal zones of long bones. With a 4 mm diameter and partial threading, this 24 mm screw secures fracture fragments while promoting compression, leading to effective stabilization and successful healing in delicate bone structures.
Engineered with surgeon efficiency in mind, the hexagonal head allows for reliable torque application while minimizing table time. The 1.75 mm thread pitch, combined with a 2 mm core, ensures firm engagement without compromising the screw’s streamlined profile. Its compatibility with the standard small fragment LCP system simplifies instrumentation and provides flexibility in optimizing implant configurations.
