Synthes 400.608 1.2mm TI Emergency Screw w/Fluted Tip 8mm 5PK

• Model: 400.608 Synthes
• 1.2mm
• AA small, threaded rod with a slotted and/or polygonal (e.g., hexagonal) head intended to be implanted in craniofacial bone (including the maxilla and/or mandible) for fracture fixation by direct interfragmentary stabilization of bone or by screwing plates in place; it may also be intended for transplanted bone fixation. It may be self-drilling/self-tapping and is made of a material that is not chemically degraded or absorbed via natural body processes [e.g., implant grade metal such as titanium (Ti)]. Its uses include repair of orbital fractures and fractures around the cranial sinuses, paediatric reconstructive surgery, craniotomy flap fixation, and bone augmentation procedures.

This medical supply or implant item is in its original manufacturer's packaging.

The Synthes 400.608 is a titanium emergency screw with a 1.2 mm thread diameter and an 8 mm length, featuring a fluted tip designed for precision and ease during emergency craniofacial procedures. It includes a cruciform recess head to facilitate reliable driver engagement during implantation. This screw is intended for use in craniofacial instrument and module systems, particularly targeting compact midface applications. It is supplied as single-use sterile hardware.

Constructed from biocompatible titanium, the 400.608 emergency screw combines strength with lightweight characteristics, offering both durability and minimized implant footprint. The fluted tip assists in cutting through bone with greater ease, streamlining placement when surgical access or time is limited. The cruciform recess on the head ensures stable driver engagement, enhancing surgical control and lowering the chance of slippage or strip-out—critical during high-stakes emergency situations.
